Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults R.C.I.A. |
Are you interested in
becoming Catholic through Baptism and initiation into the Church?
Have you been baptized in another
faith and wish to join the Catholic Church or were baptized but never really
went much further? Have you ever wondered what Catholics believe, why the believe it and why
they do what they do?
To be Catholic is to
see, celebrate and live in a particular way. If your heart is leading you to
seek a deeper relationship with God, if you know someone who is curious about
what Catholics believe, then
R.C.I.A.
is the
place to start. If you are interested in learning more about
R.C.I.A.
please call
Msgr. Bales. New classes begin in the fall.
R.C.I.A. is a 6 month process in which interested individuals can learn more
about the Catholic faith. During this learning period you will spend time
learning about God, the Bible, salvation in Christ, Baptism and the Sacraments,
morality, the pope and the Church, the saints, Heaven, Hell and Purgatory and a
whole lot more.
As the process moves along you will be invited to decide whether or not you
are able to accept, in faith, all the various teachings and beliefs of our
Church. If so, then we will help prepare you to become a Catholic at Easter
time and receive the sacraments of Baptism, Holy Eucharist and Confirmation if
you have not done so already
Please call Fr. Carl Beekman at (815) 857-2315.
